Saigon Group serves as the general contractor for the technical infrastructure construction of the Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant Project—a key national energy project classified as Group A. This project marks a pioneering shift for Vietnam in the utilization of liquefied natural gas (LNG). As the country's first LNG-fired power project, it is expected to play a vital role in ensuring national energy security, particularly by providing a stable baseload power source for the electrical grid. With a combined installed capacity of 1,624 MW, the two plants are projected to generate over 9 billion kWh annually upon entering commercial operation, thereby meeting the rapidly rising electricity demand in the Southern Key Economic Region.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 power plant project
The project's standout feature is the deployment of the world's most advanced 9HA.02 gas turbine technology, manufactured by GE (USA). This system enables the plant to achieve exceptional power generation efficiency—ranging from 62% to 64%—placing it among the best-performing power plants in Vietnam today.
